It is not surprising to me that throughout Erica's life journey, everywhere she goes, people seem to fall in love with her and she with them. Reading this memoir filled me with inspiration. It did not take long for me to be moved to tears listening to this book on audio, which I highly recommend because then you can hear Erica speaking all the of the many languages that she knows including Navajo and Quechua. I am honored to say that I know Erica personally, so I can say from experience that she is not bull shitting her way through this amazing story. She really is this genuine, loving, kind and committed to her integrity. What I didn't know is what a bad ass she is when it comes to climbing the world's highest mountains and saving other people's lives along the way (many times). What I think I loved most about this book was the honesty. It is so refreshing to hear people tell the truth rather than the version they think might be more palatable. This is what I love about Erica. She has that commitment to truth telling and truth living that cuts through all the malaise and bullshit in our society and makes being in her presence feel healing all by itself. Thanks for living your life Erica, and writing about it too! I can't wait for the next one!
