Historia
Christmas has come to Lighthouse Cove, but business hasn’t slowed down for Shannon Hammer. She’s been contracted to renovate a local hotel owned by the Garrisons, a family that’s so devoted to the holidays they serve a seven-course dinner every night from Thanksgiving through Christmas. Last year’s festivities featured a train that transported guests around the breathtaking Cliffside property. This year, Shannon and her crew have been commissioned to build a Victorian-style carnival midway with games and prizes galore.

Thus knife was full of unnecessary prose
Revisado: 12-19-24
This book was unlike the other books. The first chapter or so should have been a summary for this who didn’t know the characters. Then, instead of having the readers experience the characters doing things, she told us what they did. The adventure that is usually in her books was missing. I love what this author writes but this was not up to par.

Without primary sources and a bibliography and citations, this book is not worth the time or money.?
Revisado: 07-27-24
This book is written in such a way that it is all opinion and theory with no primary sources to back up statements. There might a bibliography or citation page that doesn’t translate into an audible book. I would like my money back but that isn’t An option. If you want to read this book, get a paperback if it.

Revisado: 03-09-24
A member of my family was on the Mayflower. I have always been fascinated with history, and this biography by Kamala Harris is one of the best I have ever read. I really appreciate her commitment to the truth, and use of her skills and training to be an advocate For those who cannot be advocates for themselves.

Historia
When Amos Decker is called to South Florida to investigate a double homicide, the case appears straightforward: A federal judge and her bodyguard have been found dead, the judge’s face sporting a blindfold with two eye holes crudely cut out, a clear sign that she’d made one too many enemies over her years on the bench. What at first seems cut and dry is anything but: Not only did the judge have more enemies than Decker can count—from violent gang members, drug dealers, and smugglers to a resentful ex-husband—but the bodyguard presents additional conundrums that muddy the waters even further.

Revisado: 11-03-22
I have read almost everything Baldacci has written. Amos meets the challenge of a new partner and a very complicated case. just when you think you know where the story is going new elements or characters are introduced. I liked the way the new partners gradually appreciated each other. good book for anyone who likes a good mystery.

I listened to the audio version. I could not put it down. Having seen and heard much of the same on the evening news, The fictitious version came alive.
As a former teacher of American history and government, I am extremely sad that we have roughly 30% of our country unable to honor the Pledge of Allegiance to America I appreciate the freedoms we all have.

Revisado: 03-03-22
I love horses and have been to several races. The scenes were authentic if complicated I had difficulty keeping the character straight except for Steve Gordon. The authors were able to really get a sense of Caroline Maggie and Becky‘s love for their horses and understanding Their feelings in competing.

I thought I knew Katie Couric. I learned a lot more and admire her a lot more.
Probably because she is a reporter and in the public eye,you feel like you’re sitting In her living room and learning a lot more about who Katie Couric is. She has had enough lifetime experiences to fail another book!
I’m glad she wrote it: I’m glad she shared so much. I appreciate her candidness. I wish her well and the rest of her endeavors.

Revisado: 06-27-20
This is another great book from Patterson and Brandon DuBois. This standalone is setup in away where you can guess what is going to happen yet you are t sure that it will. This has a mystery theme yet there is horror and intrigue that are woven together in such a way that you don’t want to stop listening.

The shots came quickly, silently, and with deadly accuracy. Within seconds, three people were dead at Central Park's ice skating rink. The victims: a talented young skater, a doctor, and a teacher. As random as random can be. Eve Dallas has seen a lot of killers during her time with the NYPSD, but never one like this. After reviewing security videos, it becomes clear that the victims were killed by a sniper firing a tactical laser rifle, who could have been miles away when the trigger was pulled.

This book takes turns and twists and reveals evil within the young because of how she was nurtured. Sad, but true in real life as well. Great great, great suspense that we expect from the " In Death" series.
