Historia
You live in your dream house, but there's no mortgage. No alarm clock, no boss, no bills. No claims on the day's time other than what you choose. It is making more money before breakfast than you made for an entire week at your last job. It is a crazy expensive car parked in your garage, a victorious symbol that your dreams no longer sleep in fantasies, but are awake with reality.

An incredibly refreshing book!

I liked the open and no bull shit approach to topics that so many seem to hold close to the vest. Especially if they think they know something about the topics.
I felt it was honest, transparent, and authentic. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Coexisting but conflicting needs create self-sabotaging behaviors. This is why we resist efforts to change, often until they feel completely futile. But by extracting crucial insight from our most damaging habits, building emotional intelligence by better understanding our brains and bodies, releasing past experiences at a cellular level, and learning to act as our highest potential future selves, we can step out of our own way and into our potential.

Historia
In the polygamous Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (FLDS), girls can become valuable property as plural wives, but boys are expendable, even a liability. In this powerful and heartbreaking account, former FLDS member Brent Jeffs reveals both the terror and the love he experienced growing up on his prophet's compound and the harsh exile existence that so many boys face once they have been expelled by the sect.

My name is Shane jessop. I’m from the FLDS cult as well and, though I’ve been fortunate to not have to go through the hell that Brent has, I feel his pain to my core. I’d just like to give a million thanks to you Brent, for putting the time and effort into this book. It’s been very helpful to me.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Felt like emotional abuse to the listener
Revisado: 01-29-21
I found it uniquely written because the story is told from 3 different angles, the wife -ex wife, the mistress - new wife, and the next mistress. you spend Time in three 3 different women’s heads thru journal entries; grappling with denial, love, self loathing, hate, blind trust, connected but disconnected, blatant lies and intrigue. Each one feeling like “the special one” in their own era, and led to believe that the other woman was crazy, boring or pitiful.
It was hard to listen to at times and seemed to drag out, the same scenarios happening again and again... you want to go crazy and scream. You spend time hating and jealous of each woman respectively. Until you realize the lies that shaped each of their realities.
