Good story! For some reason, I had difficulty hearing the narrator-I think it was her low voice and the fact that the volume on this recording for some reason wasn’t very loud even when volume was all the way up. Enjoyed the story, and appreciated how chock-full of Hawaiian culture it was.

Joe Drape has written a history of the American Pharoah journey. However, if you are a racing fan, you will definitely cringe a bit at the mispronounced names of the horses and legends in the sport. Overall the performance was good, but someone knowledgeable of the game should have done a listen through and made some simple corrections.
