Historia
Buried within the black ops budgets of the Department of Defense, a new spy agency has been created. Unfettered by the oversight of self-serving politicians, it reports only to a secret panel of military insiders. Its job is to target Americas enemies - both foreign and domestic - under a charter of three simple words: Find, Fix, and Finish.

Historia
When a mysterious new weapon tips the balance against American and allied forces throughout the Middle East, the only person the president can call for help is the man the administration has just fired - Navy SEAL turned covert Homeland Security operative, Scot Harvath. Caught live on Al Jazeera in an off-the-books operation, Harvath is forced to go to ground, as a senator with presidential aspirations turns her sights on the White House and forces President Jack Rutledge to publicly end the career of America's number-one counter-terrorism operative.

Outstanding Story - Difficult to not go from chapter to chapter
Revisado: 03-24-21
The author crafted his best work yet. Believable storyline with one the very best narrators in the business. I just wish I was thirty years younger, take what I know now, and could conjure up such informative, well researched books as “Blowback.”
In my opinion, Brad Thor is on par with authors Clancy, Coes, Flynn and Mills.

This was the best book in the Tier One series. The authors accomplished much in a short time. The intricacies were very complementary to each other.

Historia
With the full resources of the Justice Department, the intelligence community, and the military (not to mention presidential pardons pre-signed), Logan must battle a secret organization with the connections and funding to rival many first-world nations. The goal of this organization is both singular and sinister - to pit the United States against China in a bid to dismantle the world’s security and economy.

Author obviously used real life gun actions from his Marine experiences. Several outstanding gun batty, really cool subplots and just the right amount of details. Can’t wait to listen to book four.

Historia
The newly sworn in vice president of the United States has a problem. Her son, off in college, doesn't care for his security detail. So when spring break comes around, he slips away from his bodyguard, picks up his best friend, and heads to Mexico for an intended week of sun, sand, women, and hoped-for debauchery. Now they're demanding that an exorbitant ransom be paid in only a few hours - and if it's not, both boys will be killed.

Very disappointed with this book. Plot was third rate. Felt as though I had been taken down a dark alley and left to find my way back home.
What a bummer! Books like this should not even be available from Audible. “Come on man!”

Historia
Newly elected, Jack Ryan has found that being President is not easy: domestic pitfalls await him at every turn; there's a revolution in Liberia; the Asian economy is going down the tubes; and now, in Moscow, someone may have tried to assassinate the chairman of the SVR - the former KGB - with a rocket-propelled grenade. Were the potential assassins political enemies, the Russian Mafia, or disaffected former KGB? Or is something far more dangerous at work here?

Bored Had To Skip Ahead
Revisado: 07-15-17
What disappointed you about The Bear and the Dragon?
Way too much detail, stories fell into the ditch. Ending was great, no idea what's in the middle and don't care. Very disappointed with Tom or whoever wrote this book. I even speeded the playback up to 1.5 but still boring.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Sure happy the right team won.
What does Michael Prichard bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He did good!
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I most enjoyed the level of detail given into all areas of the story. I think I understand more of how our government functions - from spymasters to military to the Coast Guard. This book is filled with information. Thank you for this amazing read!

Not what I Was Expecting

What would have made Spam Nation better?
To much information upfront about criminals in Russia. Put me to sleep.
What was most disappointing about Brian Krebs’s story?
See above comments.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Seemed like there was not enough energy put into his reading.
What character would you cut from Spam Nation?
Don't really know.
Any additional comments?
No thank you.

Disappointed
Revisado: 02-03-17
What disappointed you about Threat Vector?
To much detail. Did not sound like a Tom Clancy novel. Spent too much time talking about military tools and not enough time building the story.
What was most disappointing about Tom Clancy and Mark Greaney ’s story?
Greenery detracted from the book. Again, too much detail!
Have you listened to any of Lou Diamond Phillips’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. Ok
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
