Historia
The year is 1985, and there's a storm brewing. It's the kind that forces even the derelicts to retreat to their gutters. Each room is its own unique story; each chapter, a room. Check in at Owl Eyes and stay a spell, won't you? There's always room for the dead.

Take the Twilight Zone, set it in a strange motel off a mysterious exit on the highway and give it a quirky proprietor who has one foot in the world of the living, and the other in the land of the dead and you've got Barbara Avon's Owl Eyes Motel.

Historia
The Real Anthony Fauci details how Fauci, Gates, and their cohorts use their control of media outlets, scientific journals, key government and quasi-governmental agencies, global intelligence agencies, and influential scientists and physicians to flood the public with fearful propaganda about COVID-19 virulence and pathogenesis, and to muzzle debate and ruthlessly censor dissent.

Frightening
Revisado: 07-11-23
Even if the truth lies somewhere between what Kennedy documents in this book and what Fauci, Gates, the government health bureaucracy and big pharma claims, everyone needs to question what we were told.

Teenage girl navigates ecological dystopia
Revisado: 01-07-23
Darkness falls follows Quinn and her sister, Riley, as they try to survive after an ecological disaster takes the lives of their parents while on the way to their annual summer vacation. The girls manage to hold out for a while, but quickly realize they can't stay in their aunt's rental trailer forever. They meet up with a group of teenagers also stranded by the storms and earthquakes that are devastating the eastern seaboard, hoping to join forces so they can all get home.
But then Riley disappears in the night, and now Quinn's only goal is to find her. But first she has to survive. Roads are closed due to mass collisions, bridges are out, services are unavailable. When a member of their group is injured, that makes the journey all the more challenging as they face gun-toting homeowners, and nefarious strangers taking advantage of the societal disruption. The novel is a compelling, page-turner with short chapters and likable characters that keep the story moving along.
Although Darkness Falls is a well-written story with characters you can identify with and root for, I do wish there was a little more of the promised ecological fury unleashed by an angry Earth. We see the aftermath, and flashback to the inciting incident and there are a few scenes with genuine jeopardy, yet there are times I wish the peril was more present and on a larger scale. BUT, that is based on my personal bias and expectations of the genre. This is the first book in a series, and Faulkner does hint at the promise of more disasters to come in the sequels--which this book will leave you wanting to read!

Historia
Thomas Covenant is a leper, a bitter and solitary pariah who is mystically transported to another Earth where time moves differently than ours, one in which magic takes many forms. The Land is threatened by many evils, the most immediate of which is a maddened Cavewight whose subterranean excavations have unearthed the ancient and puissant Staff of Law. More dangerous to the free people of the Land is the Gray Slayer, Lord Foul, the Despiser, who intends to destroy the actual foundations of the Earth that he might wage war against the universe’s creator.

Most original work of fantasy of the 20th century

The theme of a man in constant unbelief of his circumstances is masterfully executed. Some of the voices performed by the narrator fall short of the description of the characters, but don't let that spoil your enjoyment of this incredible tale.
