One of my favorites and one of the few series I have reread and listened to (and now viewed on Apple+). Rich characters, claustrophobically atmospheric, tense and compelling. An unforgettable read. Great audio. Fantastic season 1 TV. Bravo, Hugh Howey!

That Apple Vision Pro goggle-vision makes an early debut in the tv series and it makes one think. Hmm…

Extraordinary, thought-proving series. Marvelous cast of characters. Brilliant concept, well-wrought, sustained, and satisfyingly completed. It’s one of those series I’m sad to see end. Some of these characters will stay with me for a very long time. Thanks, J. S. Morin for an awesome ride!

Excellent Narrator Makes this a Better Story

Compelling story with a fun female heroine. Writing could have benefitted from a good editor, but the narrator made up for the gaps. Terrific concept and world building told with a refreshingly relaxed pace.

Where does Christmas at Lilac Cottage rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Not my normal fare, but I got a good deal so I had a listen. What a delightful and well-crafted story. I loved every minute of it. And I am on to the next book in the series. Heartwarming. Kind. Great characters. Kept me happy from start to finish (a difficult feat)!
What other book might you compare Christmas at Lilac Cottage to and why?
Well, not a book, but a movie. Jude Law and Cameron Diaz -- HOLIDAY.
Have you listened to any of Emma Newman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, I haven't, but she was really marvelous. Narration can destroy a great book, but Emma made this one even better.

Predictable story, but it's soft Romance and we love a happy ending, right? :)
