Helpful Insight - I've Made Strides at Work

The format describing anecdotes at work and home for two different professionals and their roles as parents was very effective. The neuroscience was amazing, and insightful.

I can't count how many times the author described scenarios I have at work, which led to more understanding of the context to what was happening - and best of all ideas to make things flow more effectively.

I would attribute my success on major project at work this year to what I learned in this book. It has helped me evolve my diet, my sleeping and my schedule to best leverage my intuitive and intellectual skills.

A head-shaking true tale

I completed this faster than any other audio book - it's impossible to "put down". The flow of detail is compelling; it is deeply researched and. just like you know how Titanic ends yet you want to know the story, this one keeps building worth various new characters and scenarios that are nearly unbelievable.

I really liked Will Damron's reading, with the slightly derisive tone he used whenever quoting the twisted Elizabeth Holmes.

There are numerous open questions and additional stories that could be told borne of the insight in this book. Despite the detailed research, there is still an incomprehensible aspect to how so much fraud went on this long and connected people were duped.

This book's detail has been a key resource in the evolution of my career. I enjoy hearing Oren read it himself, he has fascinating examples of using these techniques. I've listened several times over the last year and found more of his content online helpful too.

I am now very informed on how to frame my communications to guide outcomes. I learned much more about existing paradigms that worth as default "presuasion" mindsets. This book gave me great ideas on how to create first impressions with clients and audiences.

I've listened to the whole original book twice; this summary catches the key concepts and helpful tactics. if you learn better with more context and examples, listen or read the original - as an audio book, Oren Klaff reads it himself and his enthusiasm, pointed style and delivery is enjoyable.

Wonderful reading of the classic

The narration is stellar; I must have read this in middle school in the 70s and to listen now with the various voices of the characters was really enjoyable.

It is particularly fun to immerse into the details of history, geography and biology as Verne describes, with a thought to the book's readers when it was published as not having anything like National Geographic tv programs, movies our aquariums as we've had as informational entertainment. The wonder he must have instilled is still resonant for today's reader.

The narration and numerous voice actors make this a compelling listen. It is abridged, but delivered in a classic radio drama style with sound effects. Great for a road trip.
