Often, women's writings could dip into many things whether profound or simple. This book seems to exist in the middle of the two. I could understand how its narration of women's lives could touch many within various generations, for the truisms are parallel for women no matter where they might be stationed in life. Its relatability make it universal, but I think fiftysomething titas and aunties like me would resonate more with the concepts the author presents. Nothing like having lived four or more decades to put things into better perspective for you sometimes. Aging is indeed interesting and intriguing. And the insights come with it are gold -- much like this book.

This was a nice piece. The story has intriguing arcs that nicely play unto each other. You’d really feel for the characters and their individual plights. The narrative seeks more for us to understand their journeys, as it doesn’t demand us to cheer for them or despise their actions. The point is empathy, not sympathy. And that intention was delivered well.

I’ve always loved Jeanette Winterson’s novels since the ‘90s. They were essential to my becoming: as a twentysomething discovering my true identity as a lesbian, and as a fiction writer investigating new ways of telling stories. And now that I’m in my fifties, it’s comforting to hear her narrate her own story, those scenes outside of her fictions. And it’s now become comforting, her relatability. Thank you for all that you do. I hope you continue sharing.🧡

It’s a pleasant surprise to discover Kara and her pivotal work in tech journalism. Glad my tech journo friend recommended this book. That she’s also openly queer is another intriguing addition, given that we Gen Xers still grapple with finding the likes of us out in the open like this. Great insights about the bourgeoning tech industry at its nascency up to whatever the heck we’re facing right now. Some parts might just need trimming to make the material concise or maybe flow better. But overall a worthy tome.

I admire Ms Roxane’s courage in revealing her vulnerabilities. As a queer female writer myself, I can empathize with her journey, as it has some tangents with mine. Please, never stop sharing and writing. We need to hear these things. And if you’ll be the one voicing the ebooks, all the more better. Your narration gives more body to the thoughts you’re delivering. Thank you for this creation.☮️🧡🏳️‍🌈

I’ve always admired Ms. Barbra’s artistic talent and tenacity for doing the things she did and the causes she cared for. I share an affinity with her because we have the same birthday! Lucky number 24 indeed! And it’s truly wonderful to find out that aspects of her life journey somewhat parallel mine — as a creative person in a so-called “male dominated” industry, the highs and lows of emotions with people, and being a hopeful person that also has that balance of a critical mind. May she continue to flourish. This book is such a gift. Much love to you, Ms. Barbra! From a lifelong fan from the other side of this fragile yet sturdy planet. ☮️🧡👑

As a Filipino, it's always fascinating to encounter stories that touch upon our culture in world literature platforms like this one. It's interesting to learn of how racism could be ingrained into an immigrant being raised in the diaspora. Thank you for this nicely written (and narrated) and symbolic story. More, please. Salamat.
