Historia
Homicide detective Bryan Clauser is losing his mind. How else to explain the dreams he keeps having - dreams that mirror, with impossible accuracy, the gruesome serial murders taking place all over San Francisco? How else to explain the feelings these dreams provoke in him - not disgust, not horror, but excitement? As Bryan and his longtime partner, Lawrence 'Pookie' Chang, investigate the murders, they learn that things are even stranger than they at first seem.

Historia
Keller is a regular guy. He goes to the movies, works on his stamp collection. Call him for jury duty and he serves without complaint. Then every so often he gets a phone call from White Plains that sends him flying off somewhere to kill a perfect stranger. Keller is a pro and very good at what he does. But the jobs have started to go wrong. The realization is slow coming, yet when it arrives, it is irrefutable: Someone out there is trying to hit the hit man. Keller, God help him, has found his way onto somebody else's hit list.

Like watching paint dry.
Revisado: 03-19-18
What would have made Hit List better?
Nothing!
What was most disappointing about Lawrence Block’s story?
It was not a story. It just a total waste of time. This was i first book by this author and if this is one of his best works then I have actually listened to two of his books...first and last!
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of George Guidall?
No one, he is the only reason I purchased the book in the first place.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Hit List?
Everything after the first page. It moved along like the Titanic powered by a 5 horsepower Johnson outboard.
Any additional comments?
Read the reviews and remember the names of the people who recommended this book...they are very easily entertained.

Historia
Homicide is always an abomination, but there is something exceptionally disturbing about the victim discovered in a high, lonely place: a corpse with a mouth full of sand, abandoned at a crime scene seemingly devoid of tracks or useful clues. Though it goes against his better judgment, Navajo tribal police lieutenant Joe Leaphorn cannot help but suspect the hand of a supernatural killer.

Revisado: 01-03-18
What would have made The Blessing Way better?
A decent plot would be a good start.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Nothing from this author.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Narrator was the only decent part of the book.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The narrator, but even he could not make it interesting.
Any additional comments?
Waste of time.

143 chapters long. 100 too many!
Revisado: 08-09-17
What would have made Killing Hope better?
The editor should have cut about 100 chapters that were merely filler.
What was most disappointing about Keith Houghton’s story?
Way, way too long!
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of David Doersch?
It was not his fault...nobody could have made over half the book interesting.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Yes, about 40 of the 143 chapters told the story which was average at best.
Any additional comments?
No. I think you can get the picture.

Historia
A seemingly straightforward private case turns out to be much more complicated - and sinister - than Special Agent A. X. L. Pendergast ever could have anticipated. Pendergast, together with his ward, Constance Greene, travels to the quaint seaside village of Exmouth, Massachusetts, to investigate the theft of a priceless wine collection. But inside the wine cellar, they find something considerably more disturbing: a bricked-up niche that once held a crumbling skeleton.

Revisado: 11-24-15
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Yes
If you’ve listened to books by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child before, how does this one compare?
They have done several that were far better.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Rene Auberjonois?
Yes, he is one of the best in the business.
Was Crimson Shore worth the listening time?
Yes.
Any additional comments?
The book was worth the listen. Sadly, the authors revert to the cliffhanger ending which is beneath these authors...or so I thought.
