Historia
Amber Patterson is fed up. She's tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more - a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted. To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne - a socialite and philanthropist - and her real-estate mogul husband, Jackson, are a couple straight out of a fairy tale. Amber's envy could eat her alive...if she didn't have a plan.

Keeps your attention!
Revisado: 09-15-18
It was difficult to stop listening. I had to find projects to do that would allow my full attention to the story. I never guessed what was going to happen!!! Great novel and great performance

Historia
On November 13, 2015, Antoine Leiris’s wife, Hélène Muyal-Leiris, was killed by terrorists while attending a rock concert at the Bataclan Theater in Paris, in the deadliest attack on France since World War II. Three days later, Leiris wrote an open letter addressed directly to his wife’s killers, which he posted on Facebook. He refused to be cowed or to let his 17-month-old son’s life be defined by Hélène’s murder. He refused to let the killers have their way: “For as long as he lives, this little boy will insult you with his happiness and freedom.”

Didn’t know what to expect
Revisado: 02-06-18
This is a new experience for many of us - random attacks that take lives of the individuals that are the most innocent. So I am glad to have listened but wasn’t satisfied with the title and the story. Sorry. I believe I was hoping to get more insight to how to deal with these acts of terrorism, not to waste time, energy and emotion on these attacks. I feel that Mr. Leiris has a lot of surpressed anger

Historia
For years, guitarist Quinn Porter has been on the road, chasing gig after gig, largely absent to his twice-ex-wife Belle and their odd, Guinness records-obsessed son. When the boy dies suddenly, Quinn seeks forgiveness for his paternal shortcomings by completing the requirements for one of his son's unfinished Boy Scout badges. For seven Saturdays Quinn does yard work for Ona Vitkus, the spry 104-year-old Lithuanian immigrant the boy had visited weekly.

A delightful book
Revisado: 01-16-18
This book is enjoyable from many levels: the boy’s relationship; the elderly lady’s life; the dad/mom’s relationship and grief. Sad in areas but mostly fun and enjoyable. I plan on listening to it again on a car trip with the family
