Makes you think
Revisado: 10-02-19
I wasn't sure I was going to like this, it was my first serious novel in Sci-Fi. I love the genre but know the books can sometimes get bogged down in the descriptions and wordiness of creating the worlds of the imagination. I know Linda's work and she is a detailed and imaginative writer, and while this was a bit slow at the very start, she quickly had me hating to hit pause. By the end I wanted more and hope maybe she visits the characters again to see what happens now. I love that she is the type of writer, too, that knows her character well. She does not overburden you will detain about every bit of their description or a long bio of all of their back ground story, but with her well placed words and actions you know them. You may even wish she would give you the complete characterization, but you can be happy with developing them in your own mind. This book with also make you think but I won't spoil all the details you have to here it for yourself and think for yourself "what if", that's what this genre does best.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.
