This is actually a much better book than I had first assumed. It had me laughing and crying, cringing and whooping over the victories. This is basically a live story of an impressive veterinarian, told through the lens of numerous short stories throughout a year at the Highland practice. It is a perfect blend of enough information that other veterinarians (or Students) can appreciate each situation, but not into too much detail to loose those not in the profession. At some points it may seem as if there are many points where the Author rambles, but most of them are actually related to the end idea of the chapter (surprisingly!), and actually relay more of how the author views the world. Everything is related to something else, and through the Authors extensive knowledge and pragmatism we are also introduced to the extreme romanticism that he holds his life and this profession in.
