Historia
How will artificial intelligence affect crime, war, justice, jobs, society, and our very sense of being human? The rise of AI has the potential to transform our future more than any other technology - and there's nobody better qualified or situated to explore that future than Max Tegmark, an MIT professor who's helped mainstream research on how to keep AI beneficial.

Historia
First comes a High, a period of confident expansion. Next comes an Awakening, a time of spiritual exploration and rebellion. Then comes an Unraveling, in which individualism triumphs over crumbling institutions. Last comes a Crisis—the Fourth Turning—when society passes through a great and perilous gate in history. William Strauss and Neil Howe will change the way you see the world—and your place in it. With blazing originality, The Fourth Turning illuminates the past, explains the present, and reimagines the future.

Incredible book
Revisado: 03-06-19
incredibly interesting 20 years later. they present it like a certainty, but I read it just as a presentation and it worked great. predicts a ton of things that have happened and it's extremely compelling. they don't claim it's settled science but there are an amazing amount of generational truths in there. very much worth th read

Historia
A revolution brewing for generations has begun in fire. It will end in blood. The Free Navy - a violent group of Belters in black-market military ships - has crippled the Earth and begun a campaign of piracy and violence among the outer planets. The colony ships heading for the thousand new worlds on the far side of the alien ring gates are easy prey, and no single navy remains strong enough to protect them. James Holden and his crew know the strengths and weaknesses of this new force better than anyone.

Not the best in the series but truly enjoyable
Revisado: 12-13-16
it took a while to develop, seemingly always teetering on some kind of action, but not much took place. Felt like the whole book was an effort in ridding the story line of the antagonist that they created in the last book ie the free navy and Marco Inaros.
Marco Inaros had a few POV chapters, which I think did not serve the book well, as I believe humanizing him, stripped much of the mystery that made him such a compelling character.
The meticulous detail and complexity of both the characters relationships and technology was still on point and enjoyable.
I look forward to the next book, where I hope to glean more from what Duarte is up to behind the laconia gate .
