Historia
In 2012, on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan, an improvised explosive device left Dan Crenshaw's right eye destroyed and his left blinded. Only through the careful hand of his surgeons, and what doctors called a miracle, did Crenshaw's left eye recover partial vision. And yet, he persevered, completing two more deployments. Why? There are certain stories we tell ourselves about the hardships we face—we can become paralyzed by adversity or we can adapt and overcome. We can be fragile or we can find our fortitude. Crenshaw delivers a set of lessons to help you do just that.

Historia
After appearing on The Apprentice years ago and receiving a flood of letters from young women asking for guidance, I realized the need for more female leaders to speak out publicly in order to change the way society thinks and talks about "women who work". So I created a forum to do just that. This book evolves the conversation that started on IvankaTrump.com, where so many incredible women (and men!) have shared their experiences, advice, ambitions, and passions.

Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Hearing Malcolm’s Books is like talking to my smartest friend
Revisado: 11-16-19
This book was a little dark and graphic and was disappointing because of that. Some of the material was very heavy and just graphic and difficult to listen to. With that said, the topics that he brings up are very valuable and important in and just like all of his books it gave me a different perspective on something I already had an opinion on. I gave it at three because it was much darker than his usual books andI didn’t enjoy it as much of some of his previous books.

Changing how you see motivation and action
Revisado: 12-03-16
I love this book. I never thought of how motivation is more important than desired outcome, in the actions we take. This book gave me insight into myself and my closest family and friends. A great book to read with your spouse or best friends, bible group or book club.

Great book
Revisado: 06-30-16
A little bit of everything. It's like talking to one of your funniest friends! I thought it was genuine and insightful. I don't agree with reviews that said it didn't reveal enough. It revealed what a friend would reveal in conversation. Not the enquirer version of what happened,.... Who wants that anyway? Read the book, it's funny, pleasant, and light.

Historia
Researcher and thought leader Dr. Brené Brown offers a powerful new vision that encourages us to dare greatly: to embrace vulnerability and imperfection, to live wholeheartedly, and to courageously engage in our lives. In Daring Greatly, Dr. Brown challenges everything we think we know about vulnerability. Based on 12 years of research, her book argues that vulnerability is not weakness but rather our clearest path to courage, engagement, and meaningful connection.

Narrator almost ruined
Revisado: 05-16-16
This is an amazing topic and Wonderful book. Brenee Brown is a great speaker, but she chose a narrator that made this hard to listen to. It was distracting and I hesitate to recommend this audible bc of the narrator.
