Great Story and Narration

I don't usually read fantasy but a friend recommended this and it was excellent. The dystopian world that the author creates has parallels to our own. The story is a satisfying mix of mystery, suspense and romance with surprising plot twists and turns. The narration was excellent. I think this is categorized as young adult, but I'm way older than that and loved it.

Wonderful as always

I love listening to Barbara Kingsolver narrate her own books. She always makes me think about things in a different way. She is one of the best contemporary writer there is. This is not quite Poisonwood Bible, but it would be hard to duplicate a triumph like that. This is classic Kingsolver, beautifully written.

I listened to it on a road trip and it kept me entertained.

No.the story was predictable and it felt like20th century characters were dropped into the 19th century.

This is one of the most enjoyable Audio books I have ever listened to. I never write reviews but felt i had to on this one. Hard to stop listening to.
