Great classic collection!
Revisado: 03-25-25
Everyone should know these classics and this audible version makes it easy to tackle them all. Great voices and good variations to distinguish whom is speaking. I started reading the first book to my children to pique their interest in reading. The Magician’s Nephew certainly accomplished my goal. I have finally completed the series with the help of this audible collection. It’s a very rich series and not to be missed!

Historia
It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

Historia
Meet Ove. He’s a curmudgeon—the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness. So when one November morning a chatty young couple with two chatty young daughters move in next door and accidentally flatten Ove’s mailbox, it is the lead-in to a comical and heartwarming tale of unkempt cats, unexpected friendship, and the ancient art of backing up a U-Haul.

Worth it!
Revisado: 04-03-22
I’ve always loved the movie with Jim Caviezel so I chose to read (listen to) the book. As usual, the book has so much more content and depth. At times, it was difficult to follow some of the story but I kept on due to already knowing the basic story. I was pleasantly surprised with several departures from what I thought was going to happen. To top it off, this is currently a free audio book and so my membership credits have just been accumulating. I’m so pleased that I chose this book. It’s 1 of my all-time favorites!

Ray Blackston has done it again! I have read all of his books. I love the descriptive, charmingly southernness of his stories. These are worth repeatedly listening to and I always discover new cleverly written phrases to ponder a bit longer. Give it a try. You won’t be sorry!
