Historia
Lucas: His Hollywood Legacy is the first collection to bring a sustained scholarly perspective to the iconic filmmaker and his legacy beyond the Star Wars films. Edited by Richard Ravalli, this volume analyzes Lucas's overall contribution and importance to the film industry, diving deep into his use and development of modern special effects technologies, the history of his Skywalker Ranch production facilities, and more.

In-depth, mostly balanced, and fair take on Lucas’ life and work.
Revisado: 05-22-24
As someone who’s been enamored with George Lucas since the age of 8, I’ve been waiting for this book. I try to read everything I can find on George, and most of the information presented can be found online, but to have it all presented in such a comprehensive single volume is quite impressive. There was some new information to me, and maybe a handful of things I believe to be inaccurate, but overall it gives quite a fair account of most of Lucas (and Lucasfilm’s) history; though, the final essay seems to stereotypically fall into the category of deriding Lucas’ on most everything after his uncredited work on Jurassic Park.
There are maybe two or three mis-spoken, or possibly mistyped (in the text version), errors throughout. Nothing major, but it could confuse some who are less versed in the subject.

Historia
Padawan Reath Silas is being sent from the cosmopolitan galactic capital of Coruscant to the undeveloped frontier - and he couldn't be less happy about it. He'd rather stay at the Jedi Temple, studying the archives. But when the ship he's traveling on is knocked out of hyperspace in a galactic-wide disaster, Reath finds himself at the center of the action. The Jedi and their traveling companions find refuge on what appears to be an abandoned space station. But then strange things start happening, leading the Jedi to investigate the truth behind the mysterious station.

High Republic has allot of potential
Revisado: 02-03-21
This book was much better than ‘Light of the Jed,’ the first intro into the High Republic era, in my opinion. Claudia Gray and Dan Bitter are fantastic as always.

Finishes strong but is slow throughout
Revisado: 01-06-21
The story is reminiscent of some of the minor plot lines from the Clone Wars tv series, initially grabs your attention but the story gets a bit mundane towards the middle. The ending is strong and shows the potential for the era going forward.
