Historia
Not every danger comes in the form of a mega-threat like a Titan. Some predators are a lot cozier...more personal. When one such creature threatens an independent tutor, Harry Dresden must shake off the blood and dirt of his most recent battles and rise to the occasion, even when it turns out that the new predator is far more dangerous and connected than first appearances would suggest.

Loved it!
Revisado: 06-12-23
Excellent novella by the great Jim Butcher. He did a fantastic job narrating it as well. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Worthless
Revisado: 03-06-21
Very outdated! There is no real training information, just old fashioned ideas that are not correct or realistic. This book mostly covers very basic, very poor and incomplete information. There’s not much discussion about actual psychiatric task ideas and training methods. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time on this garbage.

I want more
Revisado: 07-18-20
Well written story about 2 characters I’ve come to love from Rebels. As always, Marc Thompson brought all the characters and the world to life. John Jackson Miller did a fantastic job. I hope he will continue the story. I want to know what happens next with Canin and Hera as well as how they find the rest of their crew!

Refreshingly different.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started listening to this audio book. I was imagining a action packed story, but this book turned out to be more than that. The author takes his time building characters the reader will want to invest in. He slowly builds on the story as well. I liked this as it made it more difficult to guess what was going to happen next and made me keep listening to find out. There are several layers to this story and I Iook forward to the arrival of the next book to see where it will go.

The Performance Ruins It
Revisado: 01-11-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I would have likely finished listening to this book if a more engaging, professional narrator had performed it.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I was interested in how a thief could become a paladin. I didn't think some of the rules that a paladin had to follow made the story any more interesting.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jack J. Lee?
Luke Daniel would have been fantastic
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Hero's Curse?
I didn't finish the book
Any additional comments?
If this book were done over with a better narrator like Luke Daniel, I'd give this book another chance.
