Historia
Farleigh is just an orphanage–at least, that's what the church would have the people believe. But beautiful orphans Nox and fae-touched Amaris know better. They are commodities for sale, available for purchase by the highest bidder. So when the madame of a notorious brothel in a far-off city offers a king's ransom to purchase Amaris, Nox ends up taking her place—while Amaris is drawn away to the mountains, home of mysterious assassins.

Holy crap yes!!!!

This book series has easily become my very favorite!!!! Articulate but understandable, informative but not information overload, and the story quickly reels you in needing to consume the whole book!!! The way that the spec is written reminds me a smidge of Jane Eyre, which is one of my favorite books but this is better!

Can’t get over bad audio
Revisado: 05-08-24
The audio is so poor quality and garbled that I literally can’t even finishthis book. Very disappointing. I will have to go purchase the paperback copy from somewhere else. Would be nice if maybe I would be refunded a credit and you can absolutely have this book back lol

Historia
Following Jane from her childhood as an orphan in Northern England through her experience as a governess at Thornfield Hall, Charlotte Brontë's Gothic classic is an early exploration of women's independence in the mid-19th century and the pervasive societal challenges women had to endure. At Thornfield, Jane meets the complex and mysterious Mr. Rochester, with whom she shares a complicated relationship that ultimately forces her to reconcile the conflicting passions of romantic love and religious piety.
