Psychology 101
Revisado: 04-28-16
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Someone was little or no understanding of psychology.
Has The Biology of Belief turned you off from other books in this genre?
What I'm looking for is a body mind soul practitioner who has had real life experience helping people to realize a consciousness that extends beyond traditional psychology, which has proven to be stock in a three dimensional mindset. In the last 20 minutes of the book he does mention what has worked for him by name, however he does not delineate upon the naming, and you are left hanging.

Historia
Denial presents a radical new theory on the origins of our species. It was not, the authors argue, a biological leap that set humanity apart from other species, but a psychological one: namely, the uniquely human ability to deny reality in the face of inarguable evidence - including the willful ignorance of our own inevitable deaths.

This would've been a great book in 1982
Revisado: 04-28-16
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
If the author weren't stuck in a three-dimensional mind set
What do you think your next listen will be?
A book by someone who has gone beyond thinking that he is his mind.
What didn’t you like about Bob Walter’s performance?
It felt as though he was someone caught in academia without the benefits of experiencing his soul.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Yes, it shows me how far I have come since I began practicing as is a psychologist in the early 80s.

Historia
In August 2003, virtually overnight, Jan Frazier experienced "a dramatic falling away of fear" - not just the immediate fear of her annual medical test but, as she learned as time went on, her fear of everything. She was "flooded with a causeless joy that has never left me." In this audiobook the commonplace belief that enlightenment is only for saints comes apart at the seams. Anyone can be enlightened, and all we need to do is ask. This rare and beautiful account puts Jan Frazier solidly in the tradition of enlightened teachers from J. Krishnamurti to Byron Katie.

Disappointing
Revisado: 06-15-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I wanted to, but she is just not believable.
If you’ve listened to books by Jan Frazier before, how does this one compare?
No
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Author "feels" depressed and sounds rather self obsessed.
Did When Fear Falls Away inspire you to do anything?
