This book was so fantastic but I’m utterly disappointed Tahereh!!! I thought this was the end of the trilogy… that I would FINALLY receive the answers I’ve been waiting for. Instead Tahereh expertly pulled me in with every heart breaking word and I hung on each chapter heart pounding in hopeful anticipation of finding the answers I was seeking only to realize —- there will be a fourth book and I have to wait….. 😭😭😭😭 good job Tahereh. I’m caught hook line & sinker. Enmeshed in your expertly written prose. Heart pounding… now waiting (impatiently) to learn what comes of all these beloved characters… If you love well written descriptions, full deep character development, heart breaking betrayal and impossible situations… you willl LOVE this book. You will devour the whole series ❤️ but if you are wise you will wait until all her books have been written to dive in, because when you start you won’t want to stop… unless you’re a sucker for the anticipation 😉 well done Tahereh Mafi.

Great narrator, great storyline

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, especially the second half. I found myself learning with the MC as things are revealed and even though it takes her a long time to figure things out it seems genuine for her character. Looking forward to book 2!

Tahereh Mafi has written so intricately that I find myself reading the same passages over and over again with my heart beating wildly. The twists and agonizing situations these characters are put in is just SO much and I just cannot wait to see how she resolves it all… so good, so good….

Tim Curry, WELL DONE! This is such a familiar story to me and YET towards the end I was nearly brought to tears. What a wonderful listen for those who enjoy the beauty of this Dickens story. Tim Curry really gives it all the heart, horror and joy it deserves... a GOOD buy!

Takes you back in time

Very well written and the narrarator is excellent. He's very good at distinguishing characters and makes the story that much more enjoyable. I enjoyed the plot and am anxious for the next book. It is different from your typical Robin Hood story in many ways but the story does well in any case. I especially enjoyed the end of the book where the author explains some of his reasonings for his changes in the story. All over, a good listen for anyone with a rich imagination :)

Please Give This a Try

If you're looking for something a bit on the fantastical side with a little bit of everything, this is your book. Full of action, suspense, mystery, ingrigue, love, hate, and best in my opinion, magic. Great characters, great reader, excellent storyline. It left me siting stock still hanging on every word. I can't remember the last time I was that eager to get through a book. I can't wait to get my hands on the next story from Maria V. Snyder. This was excellent.
