great story, poor execution

I love the premise, and the story started and ended strong, though it dragged a bit in the middle. But the narration really bothered me—in particular the fact that Penny was sometimes voiced by Mindy Kaling and sometimes by the other narrators. (We get maybe like 5 mins of Mindy.) The inconsistency made it really hard to follow.

I’m so disappointed! I love Sharon Shinn and was so exited for this series that I bought extra credits to purchase them. But this just dragged and dragged and after 5hrs I quit. The narrator is annoyingly chirpy and makes Brianna come off like a Mary Sue. And she hardly differentiates the rest of the voices. Maybe this will be better in print where you can go at your own pace...
