What a great new series! This cozy mystery is one of the best I've read in a long time. The author really knows how to write. I am so tired of these "cozy mysteries" that are garbage and written like a middle school book report. Thank you K.B. for writing a book with substance that is engaging and without typos! Not only did I listen to this book, I also read it on my Kindle. That's how much I liked it.

I was gifted this book from Goodreads and I tried to read it but just couldn't do it, so I waited until it came out on audio to listen to it. I still couldn't get into it. The story was soooo hard to follow. Most of the time I was lost and didn't know what was going on.
I hated Clem and how she treated Maud. I was glad to see that Clem got what was coming to her. The ending through me with the upcoming wedding!

A great new cozy mystery series!

I loved this new cozy mystery series. This was book #1 and it didn't disappoint. You learn about Misty and her ex Ben and his shenanigans. We meet Hank who is someone new in Misty's life. Val who works at the animal shelter. Matt who is the vet's receptionist. We can't forget about Carl the police chief, plus a slew of other characters. This cozy mystery had everything - a bit of romance, murder, intrigue and comedy. I honestly can't wait to read the next book in this series. I can't forget about Floofus and Doofus - they are the best part of the book. I'm so glad Misty chose them over Ben!!!

I recently found Carolyn Brown's books for the first time and have fell in love with her writing style. I like how there are no graphic sex scenes in the books, light humor and the occasional sad bit. This is my 3rd book now and I have loved every one I've read so far. Such a wonderful author, thank you Audible for introducing me to a new author. I wish there was another book because I would love to hear more about the characters in this book. Trying to not spoil anything here! There is no cliff hanger at all, everything gets wrapped up in the end I just personally would like to see more because I fell in love with the characters.

I really liked this one. I wish there were more chapters or another book with the 3 matchmakers. They were hilarious and this would be a great series with lots of adventures. The narrator did a great job as well with all the different voices.

After listening to When I Was You by Minka Kent, I was excited to listen to another Minka Kent book however this one didn't live up to how good When I Was You was. Don't get me wrong it's a good book just not as exciting and not much thriller/suspense. It does have some suspense just not keep you up at night suspense, if that makes sense. I will read more books by Minka Kent as I do like her style of writing.
