And for some reason those sweet, fluffy albeit paranormal cuties always seem to act as a not-so-great harbinger of deadly things to come for their previous owner. So when I saw that sweet orange tabby twirling around my landlord’s ankles, I figured Merilee was in for trouble.

The narrators sing-song voice made this book almost hard for me to finish. The opening paragraph suggested this to have been a book where Lottie might interact with the ghostly cats more, but she didn't. Not a book I'd recommend.

The high pitch of the narrarator is hard to take and not at all the Patricia Fisher voice in the first books aboard the ship. Not sure I can even continue listen to the book.

Absolutely love these books. Oberons character and Luke Daniel's voice he lends to him is just perfect.
I lived in Oregon from 68 to 78 and knew all the palaces that were traveled to there.
