Would you listen to Travels of a T-Shirt in the Global Economy again? Why?

No, it seemed like no one really paid attention to editing the narration, and there were many times when you could hear the narrator stop, take a drink and swallow. This may seem minor, but when you are listening to it for eight hours, it becomes distracting and a little gross.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There were no real characters - only people involved in a chain of global trade.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Eliza Foss?

Only if I knew that someone had actually edited out all of the swallowing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. I listened to it for a class. It was interesting, but not interesting enough to listen to for eight hours straight.

Any additional comments?

The story was fascinating, and I think the message in this book is one that we all need to hear as we learn to work within an ever-changing global economy. The author brought up points that I'd never thought about and delivered them in a way the encouraged further exploration and thought. She did a great job of telling the story in a way that showed everyone's point of view, and she came across as non-judgmental and knowledgeable.

What did you love best about The Great Hunt?

This book (like most of the books in this series) left me feeling like I was being swept along with them on a grand, dirty, smelly adventure. I love that these characters are so well written that I feel like I know them - what they like, who they love, how they will react in a given situation. They're so real and warm and conflicted.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Great Hunt?

The scene where Egwene attacked the leash holder with that pitcher, after all. That entire scene was so beautiful, and the timing was so perfect. I loved that the scene also showed the compassion that Nynaeve was capable of. Her response to Egwene's outburst of violence for the first time showed her really growing into the title of "Wisdom" that she had shed when going to the White Tower.

What about Kate Reading and Michael Kramer ’s performance did you like?

The story, when they read it, sounded just like it sounded in my head the first time I read the book on my own. They did great voice work for the characters - strong enough to know the character they were reading for without waiting for that character to be identified, but subtle enough that they never got in the way of the story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. I used it as a reward for completing assignments for my mba classes (read accounting textbook for 45 minutes, and get 15 minutes of listening time).

What disappointed you about Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter?

I gave it a couple of hours, and the story never picked up. I finally decided it wasn't worth my listening time...

What was most disappointing about Seth Grahame-Smith’s story?

I was particularly disappointed by the lack of action. Even in the scenes where someone died, it felt as though the author had never written about a fight before and had no idea how to.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter?

The entire scene where Abraham was listening to the guy reading Shakespeare - I've read many scenes where captors convince the captured that they are on the same side, and I don't think I've ever come across one that made me yawn before now.
