This is a solid 4 stars!
Revisado: 12-06-24
Initially I thought this was going to be a story just like the hundreds of other series in Romantsy category. Instead this book was wonderful from start to finish. I liked that the characters aren’t always what they seem at first. Then with a with a flick of the wrist we see their true agenda. Next thing I know it 3am and the ending credits start. Although I don’t usually like a cliffhanger ending, it worked out well in this book. I can’t wait for more of this series to come out in next year. I’ll preorder the next book as soon as it is announced.

Not what I expected from a Married to Magic novel.
Revisado: 11-08-24
The performance was good and it helped me to push through the slow parts of the book. Unfortunately I had to push hard throughout a large percentage of this book to finish it. The story started off with a bit of momentum, then it slowed down. By chapter 33 -34 I almost quit reading it, which is uncommon for me. By the end I was struggling to just get it over with. If that was supposed to be a happily ever after and I found it to be a let down instead. This book was not my cup of tea or coffee.

Historia
For weeks, he stood by my side, twisting his words into pretty half-truths. He enraptured me with his smooth temptation, leaving no corner of my being untouched. He consumed my mind and my body, then finally claimed my heart for himself. But Caelum’s true identity is terrifying enough to bring me to my knees. Then, I discovered the truth of who he is. Caldris is whispered in the Nothrek wind. The legend we only speak of with hushed words, in shuttered rooms, for fear of drawing his wrath once again.

Historia
For nearly four-hundred years, the Veil has protected us from the Fae of Alfheimr. In their absence, our lives have shifted from decadence and sin to survival and virtue under the guidance of the New Gods. I’ve spent my entire life tending to the gardens next to the boundary between our worlds, drawn to the shimmering magic like a moth to the flame. All of that changes the day the Veil shatters, unleashing the fae upon our world once again.

There’s potential somewhere in here…
Revisado: 08-31-24
I went into this book based on the good reviews. Thank goodness this was included in my membership and I didn’t waste a credit. By the end of the book,I couldn’t find even keep it straight if the main characters liked each other for anything other their looks and his “length”. It needed more of a plot and a complete background of each character to follow the book on to book 2.

Historia
To enter the woods as a human means death… But I am no mere human. They call me, “witch.” As one of the last surviving witches, Faelyn’s sole duty is to keep the protective barriers on the forests where the lykin roam—creatures who can shed flesh for fur—sparing nearby humans from their violent, beastly natures. When she has an unlikely encounter with the rare, primordial spirit of the moon, Faelyn finds herself not only the object of the Wolf King’s desire, but essential to his ability to keep his crown.

Good story but…
Revisado: 08-23-24
I liked the concept of this story and many of the characters, that part was great. The voice actor was well suited for this book as well. However it was too long and too much time was spent on unimportant details. If the author condensed all the wandering around and going in a circle. Then describing the daily details of the Lykins lives, it would cut out about 4 hours or so out. By the ending ,I was just like get on with it already! If you need an epilogue that is 20 minutes long, that means you needed a better ending and no epilogue.

Lack of character development and weak plot.
Revisado: 04-20-24
The FMC is immature, horrendously wishy washy and unbelievably naive for her age. Several supporting characters are not fleshed out enough or they are unnecessary to even bother with, to help move the story along at a reasonable pace for my taste. It is an interesting take on the Arthurian legends but that alone couldn’t save this book. I barely finished this audiobook and I will not be reading any more of this series.

This is not what I expected from the description
Revisado: 03-24-24
This is described as “a slow burn that builds to scorching”, it’s definitely tepid to room temperature. It should definitely be listed as teen up to 17years. I’m sorry but making up euphemisms for body parts in a made up language is for younger audiences. The story building is not complex for an epic fantasy series and the magic component and how it works is not really explained ever. Then the covers of these books goes way overboard on her freckles to the point they look like a skin disorder. I won’t be continuing on with this series

I expected more
Revisado: 09-15-23
The characters were under developed and not relatable. The explanation of the differences in the magical powers were too simplistic. I truly don’t totally understand the heroine’s magical powers and what they can do. I almost quit listening but I finished it. The ending left me just disappointed and confused. The concept of the romance was poorly handled and almost nonexistent. I don’t recommend this book.
