Good concept

The writing was good, but I did get a bit exasperated with the fmc. I love the concept of the different types of magic study and am hoping to see more info in the next books. I was kind of disappointed with the audio - the narrations were actually pretty good, but the volume level on this audiobook was strangely really low. Not sure what that is about tbh, but I had to blast this in my car and even then some parts were still to low.

The writing isn’t terrible and I thankfully haven’t gotten too frustrated with the fmc. The story has potential, but the pacing is very slow imo and I don’t think I would have come close to finishing this series if I hadn’t bought the omnibus. Within the span of three books hardly anything really seems to progress - so much so that it feels like I’m still in the first chapters of the series most of the time even while listening to the third book in the series.

Good for a quick listen

I’ve never been much of a fan of insta-love, but I think this book handled it in way that wasn’t off-putting. I like the relationship dynamics, and the characters seem interesting. That being said, I feel like there could have been so much more done with the storyline and the development of said characters. Good for a quick listen.

Frustrated from the start

I was hoping this would be a worthwhile listen, especially since it’s four books, but I just could not get into the story. I had kind of liked the MC because she seemed like she’d be a strong character, but (slight spoiler) she gets kidnapped by four men and immediately gets horny over these strangers. These strangers that kidnapped her. I lost all interest after that.
