one of my favorite books!!
Revisado: 09-19-24
the narrator switch between the past two books and this is huge, and half way through the book when it comes to elms perspective they switch to yet another voice, very annoying and confusing. BUT THE BOOK!! the story kept me going, i was very pleased by the ending and this series.

Great book!
Revisado: 11-14-23
I like this book a lot, it has totally captivated me! The story is very creative, kept me engaged the entire book. However, there are glitches in the book at the end of the chapter where it stops in the middle of a sentence when something else was clearly said. That is the only thing that needs work!

Historia
Austen wrote, 'I am going to take a heroine whom no-one but myself will much like' and thus introduces the handsome, clever, rich - and flawed, Emma Woodhouse. Emma is perfectly content with her life and sees no need for either love or marriage; nothing however delights her more than matchmaking her fellow residents of Highbury. But when she ignores the warnings of her good friend Mr. Knightley and attempts to arrange a suitable match for her protegee Harriet Smith, her carefully laid plans soon unravel and have consequences that she never expected.

I just love this story. Can’t say enough great things about Jane Austin and her amazing books! Powerful messages and strong feeling! The characters really evolve over the course of the book, and I was truly captivated.

Historia
After tragedy robs her of everyone she loves, Jeannette Mason retreats to the tiny Oregon seaside town of Hope Harbor to create a new life. Vowing to avoid emotional attachments, she focuses on running her lavender farm and tea-room - until a new neighbor with a destructive dog and a forlorn little girl invades her turf. But she needn't worry. Dr. Logan West is too busy coping with an unexpected family, a radical lifestyle change, and an unruly pup to have any interest in his aloof and disagreeable neighbor.

Sweet and thought-provoking story of love’s benefits outweighing its risks
Revisado: 07-26-20
The creativity of the storyline was refreshing and helpful. Not only do you get a glimpse into what life is like for a refugee settling in a new land, you see some of the joys and challenges of befriending someone with a different culture and language. Along with that, the realistic characters that Irene Hannon developed were a delight to “get to know.” I felt like the story pushed me to consider whether or not I am fully living in love or holding back for fear of the risks. And as always, Therese Plummer’s narration is fantastic!
