He keeps saying VoldaMORE. It is driving me batty!!! Not VoldemorT. My kids and I have decided we just can't take it and we're gonna try Stephen Fri instead. I only wish I could get my money back for these, I bought most of the set! 💔

Listened with children agreed 4-11, teens 16&18 power in from time to time. All enjoyed it. Thought the descriptions were beautiful. Healthy relationship between Marco and his dad was loving but firm. Enjoyed seeing the That's character arch as someone who behaved to match the way he was treated. Harder vocabulary made it good to discuss things. Inferences to self control (telling your mind when to wake up, watching your thoughts, reacting angry, etc) were well illustrated. Lots to discuss in this book. Interesting that when this came out around 1910 (before WW1) Europe was already dealing with the idea of Russian spies "living among us in plain sight". We loved this book and the even handedness of the narrator. Highly recommended for all ages, great for homeschoolers.

Clean romance. For anyone concerned it does have h*ll and d*mn in it a few times. I thought it was darn cute with the main characters being likeable and realistic. *Spoiler * One of the older characters was such a peach, her story arc had me in tears (more than once) near the end. I enjoyed Jenny the main character, finding her place in her own further if the world. A little bit of mystery even. Fun to listen to. Thanks to the author and the narrator for this delightful, sometimes deep and thoughtful, romance.

Unfortunately these titles are just better as actual books. The first two are mostly rhyming poetry. Didn't get to the next two but they do look slightly more substantial. My littles just couldn't pay attention. They have listened to tons of books including the complete Fablehaven/Dragonwatch series, Artemis Fowl series, A Year Down Yonder, Little House series, Nancy and Plum, Mrs Pigglewiggle, Zoe and Sassafras, etc... So if they won't listen I'm not sure anyone would! These sweet stories just aren't the same without beautiful pictures and a warm lap.

My kids ages 3-10 really enjoy these stories. My teens thought they were ok. They connect with the young scientist Zoey and her sidekick kitty Sassafras. She is a cute fun smart girl with a big backyard and eye for questions. The science is well explained. Family dynamic is loving and believable. We will be checking out the website for more activities! Reader is an older woman but gives good voice to the characters. We find her soothing but not boring. We have all the books currently available for this series, I think 4?, and look forward to the rest!

This is beautiful, as expected from Audrey Hepburn. Her voice is gentle and calming as she recites these beautiful stories. I thought I was familiar with them, but not apparently, the French versions which had more body to them. Wrapped around these stories was Audrey remembering her childhood, in her own words, receiving visits from the wonderfully fun and talented Ravel. As she reads, his compositions flit in the background and then play freely at the end. So enjoyable. Exquisite art as one would associate with Audrey and Ravel. They must both be happy with this combining both their talents. My children listened enraptured until bedtime. Great for calming little bodies in summertime evenings.
