I adore all books by Jennifer Joy. I enjoy all books narrated by Stevie Zimmerman. Put the two together and you get perfection in the form of fiction.
This story was lovely and lively with little angst and an adorably large puppy.
It was sweet and delightful to see how the untimely interruption of the puppy led to Darcy's better understanding and the time he took to make amends for his wrongs.

Threat of Scandal - Written by the same author and narrated by the same narrator. Equally wonderful story.
Which character – as performed by Stevie Zimmerman – was your favorite?
I love her narration of Mrs. Bennet. Not a character I generally love, but Stevie does the voice perfectly.

This book has been an Amazon chart topper for a very long time. I thought I was an uneducated simpleton because it did not sound like a book I wanted to read, despite the thousands of other people doing so. I had some credits on Audible so I used one to purchase the audiobook.
I wish I hadn't wasted the credit. To the narrators credit, he did an amazing job bringing the long and overly wordy story to life in a way that I could not have, had I read the book. First of all, I listened to the entire audiobook whereas if I had read the ebook I would have quit by chapter 5 or 6.
I wanted to love the story, but I couldn't. I felt there were too many historical inaccuracies and far too may plot holes.

Yes - Because I love the well told story.
Have you listened to any of David Stifel’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've listened to his 4 narrations of Danelle Harmon's DeMontforte Brothers series. I think this narration is on par with the others. My favorite characterization is Lucien's voice. I listened to all of the books just so I could hear him speak over and over.
