I do not like when narrators change i feel it really disrupts the world. In this case though it was so much better he fell right into the characters and really made them feel real. If you have listened to the last books ... and the accent changes you will be pleased with the better vouce acting while still getting your action movie story.

Great book

I don't often leave reviews, this book was great from the writing to the narration and the pace of the world building. I was disappointed at first after I realized this book leave so many loose ends. I did a little digging and discovered that 2 more books are planned for this year. I cannot wait.

what a roller coaster

Over all I enjoyed the entire series. This last book kept me waiting to hear whats next and wrapped it up nicely. At first I was not excited about the end but after listing to the authors notes I agree with it. Definitely worth listening through. I also like the way the military is portrayed and where to much rigid or politics can ruin it. I was a Navy Submarine sailor and when you are on an isolated ship every input is needed so I can talk to any enlisted or officer without feeling rank or position (as long as you have your dolphins) but when it comes time to get serious we snap into our roles and structure. I think he did a really good job showing that which made the books even better for me but I feel everyone who enjoys a good sci fi military book will as well.

When I was browsing authors I like looking for a new book I was excited to see another dragon mage book and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. I you are a fan of the first 9 books then these are a must.

A great merger of sci fi / fantasy and adventure.

This book goes up there with the Pern books and Sword of Truth novels for me. the narrator is amazing for this book and the author wrote an great dialogue.

Charlie thought building a spaceship had been tough, so being king should be a piece of cake. Unfortunately, it was like a cake made of cement. Hard to swallow, and just might kill him. It was good being king, or so Charlie had believed. After an abrupt crash arrival, people had finally stopped trying to kill him - for the most part, anyway - and his new subjects respected him. Or feared him. It was sort of hard to tell, what, with the ginormous dragon who had eaten the previous king standing right behind him.

Some of my first sci fi reading that I truly enjoyed were the Pern books, they brought me to a very interesting and relatable place with a driving story arc this has a very similar feel of awe and new with more action and character involvement. If you enjoy sci fi/fantasy these books will not be a waste.
