I really love the character build and the tie in of the different lores to create such a dynamic story! This is filled with intrigue, humor, and so much more. Definitely worth your time. Voice actors are superb as well.

when I saw Lily Chu released another novel, I immediately dove right in. 12 hours later, I'm not disappointed in the least. definitely recommend

a great rom com series

Feel good romance

This was a pleasant feel good romance with some very emotional spots. A great listen especially with the Mandarin phrases. Definitely a book I would read again.

this series is so very captivating! I found myself laughing and cheering and punching the air during fights. I got lost in this series and put my phone on airplane mode just so I didn't get interruptions. i think in 3 days i may have slept 12 hours because I listened to books 1 through 3 consecutively. I knew I was almost at the end of book 3 but when it happened...I was happy and sad and now...now I wished I'd read it when the series was complete. In book 3, I kind of wished there was less sex and more story. I just wanted to get back to who wins the war and how. Either way, it's definitely a great read.

This wasn't a bad story. I think the narrator's attempt at adding life by saying "crash" or doing a weird whisper yell kind of made it more laughable than the actual emotion of the scene. Reading the actual book may be better than the audio book. But it really wasn't a bad story.

you know it's good when you see the real life implications as well as when you start hoping a character dies. When is book 3 coming out? I'm ready! Wonder if now the magi becomes slaves...

A Marvelous Journey

Such a beautiful story depicting the essence of what it is to be human and still find a way to make a difference despite our circumstances. I saw everything, felt every emotion and even found myself talking to the protagonist as though she could hear.

Definitely would recommend this read. Though it is filled with magic it is very applicable to the reality of many. The lesson learned in the end of the book is one that transcends time.

if I could give the author and the performer 100 stars, I would.

I loved the "you know what's great about being a disabled vet" joke. I remember people telling me that and was like "are you crazy". it's nice to hear I'm not the only one thinking every one else was crazy.
