Fun, fast paced read

It's been awhile since I've enjoyed a read like this. It has a lot of twists and turns that I was not expecting. I also liked that it didn't have too much "filler", or repeated monologue. It was just a good story at a good pace. The ending was a little mooshy for me..., but still a good read!
I listened at speed 1.70. Really enjoyed this book and I think it would make an excellent movie!
This is the first Freida McFadden book that I've read and am planning to try another.

Enjoyable

I chose this because Steven King suggested it. The description sounded like something that I would enjoy. However, after reading other reviews, I was afraid I'd be turned off because of the reader. I listen to my audio books at a speed between 1.5 and 2. When I started the book I didn't hear anything wrong with the voice reading, so I slowed it down to the normal speed,and understood what everybody was talking about. No problem, I just moved the speed back to my usual 1.5. I do think the reader needs to work on trying to read the book the way it's written. It seems that he gave some characters his own twist, but it wasn't too bothersome, and, in some cases, a little commical. Anyway, back to the story. It really was a good story, and although a bit wordy at times, reminded me a lot of the way Steven King writes. I found that I didn't want to stop listening! That in itself is a big plus for me!!! I would definitely recommend this audio book, just be sure to listen to it at a higher speed than a slow 1.0.

Horribly boring.

Tall tale

The story was pretty good. There were parts that were pretty unrealistic of you know anything about kids. If the child had been 13 or 14 it probably would've been better but I kept asking myself, "how old is this kid? How in the world she know our say some of these things? It was stuff that I couldn't just let slide. Anyway, the lady that read it was very good.

I really enjoyed this book.

the only part I didn't care for was the singing. It lasted a few minutes too long. Other than that it was a very entertaining story. I would recommend this book.
