Historia
Raising twins deep in a protected wood sounds like an ideal task, but when the kids are dangerously magical and just learning how to control their abilities, life can get dicey. Michael Talbot prepares for a difficult trial as his wife, Azile, the powerful Red Witch, is called away on urgent matters and he is left alone in charge of his challenging offspring. Fortunately, Uncle Mathieu, werewolf and Brew Master, arrives to help out. It should have been a swell reunion for them, but conspiracy and war are upon them overnight.

Always impressed!
Revisado: 01-26-25
I have been listening to Marc Tufo's books for a long time. I am always immersed in the story. Every single one. How does he do it?! There are a few that I want to buy the hardback, just to have it. Mostly I want a movie version of the books. But I am afraid because the books are so incredibly good! And I would miss Sean Runette's voice. 😊Well done, Mr Tufo, well done.

What a ride!
Revisado: 09-08-24
I really enjoyed the story and was captivated by the characters. It was a very good listen and I stuck with it for the entirety. I didn't get bored at any point. The ending was rather predictable, but it didn't really detract from the overall feel of the story. However, I felt that I really wanted to know more about the main villain at the end. Good story. Worth the credit.

I am not sure what to think...
Revisado: 08-18-24
I am not even sure what I expected. The violence, which I did not expect, in this book was so very difficult to listen to. It actually pained me. But I endured the torture because I became invested in the characters, sure the ending would bring some type of relief. But it did not. In fact, the ending felt as if even the author just couldn't endure more and just ended it. So many questions just left to the imagination. I wish I had not listened.

Historia
Psychologist Dr. Ophelia Bray has dedicated her life to the study and prevention of ERS—a space-based condition most famous for a case that resulted in the brutal murders of twenty-nine people. When she's assigned to a small exploration crew, she's eager to make a difference. But as they begin to establish residency on an abandoned planet, it becomes clear that crew is hiding something. While Ophelia focuses on her new role, her crewmates are far more interested in investigating the eerie, ancient planet and unraveling the mystery behind the previous colonizer's hasty departure.

This is not really a ghost story
Revisado: 08-15-24
But are there "real" ghosts, or just manifestations from our mind? Who knows? Anyway, I enjoyed the story. There was language, a sort of budding romance, very annoying people, and times I just wanted to stop. But the story kept me invested til the end...which I thought was too neatly brought to a close. Narrator was good. I do not wish to change my rating. But I am left with a kinda blah feeling.

Historia
Ajax is one of Earth’s most elite, a Paladin pilot, and trusted to fly the most advanced starfighters humanity ever produced. His carrier and the rest of the fleet have fallen back, the recent damage from the elven betrayal making it impossible to stay in the fight. He knows they’ll return, and they’ll treat this world to the same kind of plasma bombardment that the elves had inflicted on Mother Earth. The real problem for Ajax, though, is that he’s parachuting down onto it now, his arm broken.

Revisado: 08-10-24
What a great story! The narration was pretty great, but the story was fantastic! I must admit it was a little confusing at first, especially since I thought I had it all figured out. But boy was I wonderfully wrong. What a unique take on the whole space war saga. I loved it. 😍

Revisado: 06-30-24
The same way again. WOW! What a great story. It was a creepy delight! I now know more about apples than I ever thought I would. This was a very original take on the good vs evil story. The characters, the writing, the narration were all top notch. I enjoyed this book very, very much. Thanks so much, Chuck! I loved it!

Excellent story!
Revisado: 06-15-24
Well..who would have thought I would be cheering for a man like this? Totally engaging and riveting story. The twisty twists at the end were a lot of fun. I have already purchased the next book. Christopher Ragland was excellent in reading. It was easy to keep the individual voices separate and believable. Well worth listening to.

An abstract work of art!
Revisado: 04-15-24
I don't always understand art, but I recognize art. Listening to this story was like listening to fusion jazz, or staring at Dali or Picasso or some abstract artist. Heck, I don't even understand Banksey often. I enjoyed this piece of art. Dark, heavy, and hard-hitting. Not everything needs to be explained. Just like everything is the truth...and everything is a lie.

Jonathan Maberry, Ray Porter and Joe Ledger. You just cannot go wrong. wherever Joe or his team is sent it is a wild ride. I always love visiting Pine Deep, and what a thrill to visit any story by Peter Clines. I am sure there is a story in this compilation that I wasn't very fond of, but I cannot think of it. I do believe I loved them all.

Great story!
Revisado: 02-24-24
This book was not at all what I expected, but it was immensely entertaining. It is definitely worth the credit. Ray Chase did an excellent job as narrator! This story is rather lighthearted, and in a way sorta like an adult version of a kid's bedtime story...but made for adults. I really enjoyed it!!
