Historia
It was immediate for Roman. In 3,000 years, he'd never lost control of his emotions, or his heart. But the moment he laid eyes on Evelynne Farrow, he knew she was the woman who haunted his dreams. And everything changed. Everything. Evie Farrow has always loved a good vampire romance. In fact, she makes a living writing them. While sitting in a coffee shop and working on her next mega-hot book, Evie is approached by a tall, dark, and handsome man who could have been pulled directly from one of her novels.

And. . .we're off with narrator taking the lead. .
Revisado: 11-29-15
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
The narrator is way too fast; wow, great story (love Mathias, been waiting for his story), the reading was so damn fast, no breaks, just hurry let's get to the end.
What other book might you compare Rapture: A Novel of the Fallen Angels, Book 4 to and why?
None other.
How could the performance have been better?
Understand the character; Mathias is a deliberate man; he has patience, this character would never rush into anything, especially speech. Check out "Crave: A Novel of Fallen Angels" that narrator had it right. This narrators presentation of Mathias is so wrong; because of the fast and intense narrative, it was hard to keep up with the story, it was bad.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
As stated before; loved the story, J. R. Ward is a great story teller; the narrator ruined the story.
Any additional comments?
If possible correct the speed; let us know so we can download the new version; I know there has to be a way to slow the narrative down; please. PLEASE!!!

Historia
Melanie is a very special girl. Dr. Caldwell calls her "our little genius". Every morning, Melanie waits in her cell to be collected for class. When they come for her, Sergeant keeps his gun pointing at her while two of his people strap her into the wheelchair. She thinks they don't like her. She jokes that she won't bite, but they don't laugh. Melanie loves school. She loves learning about spelling and sums and the world outside the classroom and the children's cells. She tells her favorite teacher all the things she'll do when she grows up.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely, the story starts out a little strange, with the reader/listener guessing and wondering, but at the same time knowing what the story line is all about. You keep with the story to see if you guessed right, while fascinated at the turn of events.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sergeant (everything, beginning to end), Melanie (self-acceptance and determination), Ms. Justineau (her compassion)
Which scene was your favorite?
Melanie’s explanation to Sergeant.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No; good story but not really a “must see what happens next” type of story.
Any additional comments?
I like the narrator, did not try to sound like a man, she was natural, you knew the characters when they spoke. My problem, not the narrator, was attuning my ears to an English narrator. This audio book I will return to often.

Historia
Here is the classic dystopian novel by George Orwell. First published in 1949, it is set in the eponymous year and focuses on a repressive, totalitarian regime. The story follows the life of one seemingly insignificant man, Winston Smith, a civil servant assigned the task of perpetuating the regime's propaganda by falsifying records and political literature. Smith grows disillusioned with his meager existence and so begins a rebellion against the system that leads to his arrest and torture.

Not Just Another Zombie Tale
Revisado: 06-10-13
What made the experience of listening to This Shattered Land the most enjoyable?
The narrator really brings this story to life. I really love stories about end-of-the-world survival. The story not only follows our survivors but provides instructions on how to survive by obtaining the best weapons, types of food to gather and store, finding/building shelter and how to keep physically and mentally fit.
What was one of the most memorable moments of This Shattered Land?
The "Bear" chapter, I was torn between the survival of the bear and the survival of my characters.
What about Guy Williams’s performance did you like?
The best I've listen to in a long, long time. What makes Mr. Williams special is he does not over do the female voices and he has a natural conversational/story telling voice.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not really, after all it is a blood and guts book.
Any additional comments?
Guy Williams should narrate a lot more books!!!

Love the story plot, C. Freehan is a great story teller; audible presentation sucks. Especially the "echoing mind thoughts" and the forced theatrically voice presentation. From this point forward I will read the books.

They were masters of the darkness, searching through eternity for a mistress of the light. Lead guitarist of the Dark Troubadors, Dayan was renowned for his mesmerizing performances. His melodies stilled crowds, beckoned, seduced, tempted. And always, he called to her. His lover. His lifemate. He called to her to complete him. To give him the emotions that had faded from his existence, leaving him an empty shell of growing darkness.

Revisado: 12-17-09
These are great stories, love the plot, the characters and the idea of good Carp and bad vamp, however it seems that the only reader who got the idea of how the characters should sound is Juanita Parker (especially the Carpathian males). Ferrone(?) breaths to heavy and voice is rattle.
I can no longer listen to the audibles because the other readers don't have a clue.
