Historia
In his final hours in the Oval Office, the outgoing President grants a controversial last-minute pardon to Joel Backman, a notorious Washington power broker who has spent the last six years hidden away in a federal prison. What no one knows is that the President issues the pardon only after receiving enormous pressure from the CIA. It seems Backman, in his power broker heyday, may have obtained secrets that compromise the world’s most sophisticated satellite surveillance system.

Italian Lessons
Revisado: 08-20-18
If you want to learn some Italian this is the book for you. If you want a suspenseful, intriguing, read it to the end thriller-this is not for you or me. Plot was silly, characters were silly and the incessant English to Italian was sleep inducing. I was listening in the car and had to turn it off to stay awake

Very Dissapointed
Revisado: 08-30-16
I bought this book because I listened to another book (Orphan X) by this author. I loved Orphan X. This book was awful. It was way too long, too repetitive. Plot was not even partially believable. I got sick of the repetitiveness of the main family characters. Could have used more of Shep. It was one of those books that was so bad I kept going back to it in hopes something would develop but it did not. The reader was very good.

Historia
Someone has tried to kill the French president. How many snipers can shoot from three-quarters of a mile with total confidence? John Kott—a U.S. Army marksman gone bad—is one of them. After fifteen years in prison, he’s out . . . and there’s a G8 summit coming up, packed with enough world leaders to tempt any assassin.

Absolutely Awful
Revisado: 10-23-14
i have read or listened to all Reacher books. I was a huge fan until the last few books and Tom Cruise as a midget Reacher. it was going downhill but with this book it fell over the cliff. The story was weak and the reader was terrible. The narrative was boring almost as boring as the plot. Save your money-it is almost painful to sit through. No more Reacher for me.

Historia
In June 1876, on a desolate hill above a winding river called "the Little Bighorn", George Armstrong Custer and all 210 men under his direct command were annihilated by almost 2,000 Sioux and Cheyenne. The news of this devastating loss caused a public uproar, and those in positions of power promptly began to point fingers in order to avoid responsibility.

I Learned A Lot
Revisado: 07-22-12
All I knew about Custer was from the movies. This 16 hour book was perfect for my 1,100 mile trip. It is an excellent book which told the entire story from all sides. Very informative about logistics and tactics and the major participants. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the time period

Terrible
Revisado: 09-03-11
This book is awful. I'm a big fan of the fighting sail books and have read all of O'Brian as well as several of Bond, Grundner, Russell and Stockwin. In the other books you can always learn something of history, sailing, navy life, tactics, gunnery - even weather. There was nothing in this book. The plot was weak, the characters uninteresting and the battle scenes silly. It might as well have been classified as a romance novel. I wish I could get my money back.

Save Your Money
Revisado: 11-30-10
The book is predictible, boring and at least twice as long as it needs to be. I only finished it because I paid for it. Its Randy Wayne White gone bad. Maybe Rapp will turn out to be Doc Ford.
George Guidall is awful.

What starts out as a simple trail gets twisted fast by old grudges, double crosses, blood vengeance, and a crime so terrible even Pike and his partner Elvis Cole have no way to measure it.

OK-But Not Elvis
Revisado: 01-17-10
I've read and loved all of the Elvis Cole books and both Pike books. I'm done with Crais until Elvis is brought back. This book is cumbersome, dull-everything the Cole books are not. I can see where some would like it but not me.

Not A Harry B Plot
Revisado: 11-01-09
I've read or listened to all of Connely's books. The reason I like him is his realism and attention to detail. I like Harry B because he is not a super hero, just a tough, dedicated guy that gets the job done through hard work. Finding a specific room in a Hong Kong hotel through the reflection in a window from a cell phone picture is just not believable.
