Historia
People start dropping dead around Charlie, giant ravens perch on his building, and it seems that everywhere he goes, a dark presence whispers to him from under the streets. Strange names start appearing on his nightstand notepad, and before he knows it, those people end up dead, too. Yup, it seems that Charlie Asher has been recruited for a new job, an unpleasant but utterly necessary one: Death.

At sideway look at death with Death Merchant, Harpies & Soul Vessels, the story is good and the humor is LOL, tears in your eyes funny. Good read and interesting characters. We will back up and read all of Christopher Moore’s books.

Broad Book
Revisado: 10-24-05
Yes the narrator was bad and the voices worse but the story line and slow thought processes were repeated over and over yet not thought through. I wish I had gotten the abridged version it is half as long and should be only half as boring. No Mystery and no Thrills, Beaumont is not the hard nose hero but a mushy poof ball with lots of feeling to work through. This might make a OK chick flick... Broad Book. My first and last J. A. Jance / J. P. Beaumont novel.

Well done, unique!
Revisado: 05-16-05
This book was written for those who think. If you wish for a book where everything is in outline form and the characters are superhuman and above making mistakes this book is not for you;watch a movie instead. The book seemed slow in the beginning as things were developed and then the launch. Well written, interesting story, beleivable characters, real heart... I will read more of her work. Not the book factory standard mystery.

Long, Slow & Politically Liberal
Revisado: 03-08-05
A reverse tour through a 15 year old heinous murder with a laborious trip through the courts of appeal. A resound cry against he death penalty and a bashing of the American court system. Stereotypical race and gender players. Would have given it NO STAR if I could.

Yawn
Revisado: 02-02-05
I made 3 1/2 hours and gave up on a waste of money. Even the action part are dull beyond. Over worded and detailed are the good points.
The narration lack spirit but it is in keeping with the story. One star for volume only.

What?
Revisado: 01-26-04
The story was so-so. The background noise (drama) over shadows the narrators who had trouble of their own. I got tired of backing up to not hear again what usless piece of the non-puzzle I had missed.Tech buffer that I am, there is no Nobel Prize given for Mathmatics. Other technical difficulty I had? which internet protocols was he referring to and which ATV has a twist throttle.

Historia
In the Nevada desert, an experiment has gone horribly wrong. A cloud of nanoparticles (micro-robots) has escaped from the laboratory. This cloud is self-sustaining and self-reproducing. It is intelligent and learns from experience. For all practical purposes, it is alive. It has been programmed as a predator. It is evolving swiftly, becoming more deadly with each passing hour. Every attempt to destroy it has failed. And we are the prey.

PRAY for the end.
Revisado: 12-03-03
This book drones on and on. The main man is really slow minded but he is ahead of the pace of the book. The narrator slips up in voice changes, the 'time line' of events is not reasonable and the tech facts are slightly a skewed. It seems to be written as a screenplay, too many background (useless) details. I cannot recommend this book.
