A loud voice with much to say

I enjoyed the book,but each chapter began sounding alike and I would have to sync my
devices to be where I previously stopped. I agree with many of her life action statements.. I loved the stories about her grandmother. But by the end of the book ,I wanted to finish as quickly as possible;because I had become weary of the loud narration.

The great mystery of Cicely Tyson has always presented whole characters to her audiences. And this memoir certainly does the same. She was a woman,, as a child, who sold bags on the street for 2 cents . She left this earth a few days after this book went on sale. It is very interesting. to see how she listened to the spirit within her and acted upon its advice. She was very much a quality actor and now the quality of the actor resides in a book. The gifts that she gave us from film and stage were rewarded exponentially at the end of her life with an Honorary Oscar, and the Presidential Medal of Honor.
You should find it an pleasure to read the words, which tell her remarkable life journey.
