Different and Powerful

I’ve listened to many Neville Goddard books. He is one of my favorite lecturers. I had thought I heard every story he could tell and every concept he’s taught, but this book brings new perspectives to light. This book is concise and packed with useful insights and information. Sure, he tells some of the same stories, but this book puts a slight twist on things, which compelled my understanding of his work to dive even deeper. He talks about other people and the world we live in. He talks about how he had to repeat his process until he got it right, and he mentioned a book of his journey. Of all the Neville Goddard books, I will be adding this one to my favorites list.

A fresh perspective and profound

This book is simple and amazing...which makes it simply amazing! Lol!
I love the spin this author pits on the LOA.
His ideas are profound and deeply moving. By implementing the ideas presented in this book, one's abilities to create one's desired future will be unstoppable. I would give it 100 stars if I could!

Better than most

I've listened to many books on the law of attraction (LOA), and I found this book more informative than most. It was interesting how the author spoke about chakras, frequencies, and the quantum realms. She applied knowledge from various fields to the LOA, and furnished a fresh perspective on how and why the LOA works. I especially enjoyed her implementation of the solfeggio scales.
The information in this book was very useful for me because I enjoy learning about how things work and why. Additionally, she give fantastic advice, instructions, and examples throughout the book. This is a book that helps to fill in the blanks when trying to master the law of attraction.

Description overload

Although some interesting and important things happen in this book, I am getting frustrated having to listen through countless descriptions to get to the meat of the story. The book could have been much shorter and more interesting had I been trusted to have an imagination.

Same old same old

There were a few key things that happened in this book. It was frustrating, however, to have to listen to all the useless information in between those key scenes. I got tired of listening to detailed information about a side character and his clothes. What's the point? We will just forget his name later anyway. The only reason that I'm continuing to read this series is because people assure me that it gets better.

Beautiful and Enlightening

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would absolutely recommend this audiobook to others. Not only does Patrick Swayze reveal his life's story, his conviction and heartfelt emotions make this book engaging and enlightening. Where Celebrities usually seem "untouchable," Patrick brings a "down to earth" mentality, so much so that to call him Mr. Swayze after listening to him divulge his secrets and thoughts as if he were a friend would seem cold and distant. Patrick and Lisa deliver a warm, thoughtful, and inspiring narrative. This is a great find!

What other book might you compare The Time of My Life to and why?

One of the reasons I like this book so much is because I've not read a book to which it is comparable. In my opinion, it's in a class all it's own.

Which scene was your favorite?

I was especially touched when Patrick spoke about his dog, Cody. At this time, it just resonates with me.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The entire book was moving. Patrick and Lisa "laid it out on the line" and poured their hearts into this work. I feel honored to have had the opportunity to get a glimpse into the lives of such amazing people.

Enlightening, fascinating, brilliant

What did you like best about this story?

I loved that this story brought together all of the other books in the series. Perspective is everything.

What about Barbara Caruso’s performance did you like?

The narrator's performance was clean and the characters came to life.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the main character revealed his love.

Early Anita finally on Audiobook

I originally began listening to the Anita Blake series with Cerulean Sins. I LOVED the narrator, Cynthia Halloway. Her voice was incredible, feminine and embodied everything that I envisioned in Anita. I actually think her voice made the books better. The narrator of this book (and a few others) does an adequate job, but it's just not the same Anita that originally compelled me further into the series. Her essence is not the same. One thing I do like...it's nice to hear Jean-Claude with a French accent. Overall, the book itself is pretty good. I really enjoy knowing how the characters began to interact. It's refreshing.

charming

This collection of stories was fun and imaginative. It's a great way to re-connect with Sookie while waiting for the most current book to be released. Don't expect these short stories to bring you on a long, in-depth journey in the world of Sookie. Instead, they are just little fun events that give you a little more insight into Sookie and her friends. If I had to sum it up in one word, I would say it's "charming."
