So disappointing!
Revisado: 08-13-18
I had heard good things about this series of books, but I was so disappointed! The story was shallow, predictable, and mediocre at best. And even though I have been a fan of James Marsters for many years, his reading of this book was terrible! It was so full of heavy breathing, heavy sighing, and without any kind of animation that he came across as incredibly bored, which made me bored very quickly into the book. I reluctantly finished it in order to be fair, but it was so breathy that it was like listening to an 8 hour obscene phone call! So sorry, but I won't be listening to any more of these books.

This series just keep getting better and better!
Revisado: 07-18-18
Once again, Seth Skorkowsky has woven a tale of intrigue that surprises at every turn. His ability to write a fight scene is unparalleled, fast paced and impossible to predict. Equally, his ability to develop characters is seasoned beyond his years and you just can't help but have deep feelings for each one, whether good or bad. Seriously, who doesn't love Gabby?? And I admit I actually shed tears for a beloved character who exited the series. I have enjoyed each book on its own merits and Redemptor is no exception. What a unique story in a very unique series! And RC Bray IS the voice of the Valducans, without a doubt. Can't wait for another installment!

Still on the run for a murder he didn't commit, Ahren adapts to life as an outlaw as his reputation of the Black Raven grows. Yet nothing comes easily. Dogged by bounty hunters, he finds himself crossing steel with pirates on the high seas and battling monsters in subterranean cities. Historia
Matt Hollis is the current wielder of the holy weapon, DÄMOREN. With it, he stalks and destroys demons. A secret society called the VALDUCANS has taken an interest in Matt's activities. They see him as a reckless rogue - little more than a "cowboy" corrupted by a monster - and a potential threat to their ancient order. As knights and their sentient weapons begin dying, Matt teams up with other hunters of his kind such as LUIZA, a woman with a conquistador blade; ALLAN, an Englishman with an Egyptian khopesh; MALCOLM, a voodoo priest with a sanctified machete; and TAKAIRA, a naginata-swinging Samurai.

Fantastic!
Revisado: 02-11-15
Would you listen to Damoren again? Why?
Yes, I would listen to it again because the story is very intricate, layered, and I know I will get more out of it each time.
What did you like best about this story?
It was so unique. I thought it was going to be like Supernatural, but it wasn't at all. It was a completely different dynamic.
Have you listened to any of R. C. Bray’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, I hadn't heard him before, but I liked him very much. His characterizations were extremely well done.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, I prefer to listen to audio books in my car and over several days/weeks time. It gives me a chance to go back and listen to chapters over again, if I think I missed something.
Any additional comments?
By far one of the best 'debut' novels I have heard or read in a very long time.
