Historia
Earth is under attack. Twenty years after the American-Chinese war devastated our worlds, we finally have a tense peace. But legendary American Admiral Jack Mattis, on his inspection tour of the first joint American-Chinese space station, finds himself in the middle of the unthinkable: an alien invasion. Their ships are powerful, their weapons overwhelming. And in the confusion, our tentative peace with the Chinese is shaken to the core.

Avoid this narrator
Revisado: 09-06-19
The author of this book should either demand his money back of insist that the company find a new narrator at their expense to replace this abomination. My former students in China could read better than this guy!! And I am NOT being hyperbolic, he is that bad!

Historia
In the first book of the Star Crusades: Uprising series, the bloody struggle is told through the eyes of an illegal pit fighter named Spartan, who is forced to choose between incarceration or military service. Choosing the Confederate Marine Corps over servitude he begins his 30 long weeks of training. Together with his group of marines, they are honed into a force ready to be thrown into the meat grinder on the newest and greatest planet in the Confederacy, Proxima Prime.

Computer voice
Revisado: 06-27-18
I have read this series myself and was looking for an audio version to play while going to sleep. For most books a computer voice is ok for this type of listening, but the pacing of this reader is all out of whack, making it actually disturbing to try and sleep. If you have an audio collection you know the computer voices that mispronounced words all to well, but they usually do a good job of keeping the pacing right. Not this one though. Overall the story is good, but the reader stinks
