It’s almost like hitchhikers guide to the galaxy but stay on earth and thrown in super hero’s.

Everything you could want for a book and a new world

Like- the characters. The fun. The trouble. The world of hero’s ruled by rules that shouldn’t be broken. The school for these young wanna be hero’s and how far they must go. The 4 mains are amazing different and yet likeable and strong all at once. Girl power you got it. Guy power you got it. Team work to conquer all you got it. Failure and strife check. Can they rise from the failures. From the hate and anger at them. You won’t know if you don’t get the book. It gives you a great perspective on racism with out making you feel bad. The world is built amazingly. You feel as if you’re part of this world that’s like ours but not. Once you listen to this you’ll need to finish the series and make sure you listen to the “filler” books in order. The finally in year 4 is amazing

Characters characters characters! You’ll find a favorite and catch yourself being glad you don’t have the book in your hands so you can skip to their next part lol. Great take on hero’s in our world. On the concept of identities. And BOoM you want an original idea for a zombie apocalypse this is it. I’ve recommended this to so many people who’ve come back asking for more recommendations.

The only thing I dislike is that I listen on 1.5 speed and the story goes back n forth in time occasionally and I got lost a couple times. Had to slow it down.

Good filler. But not as good

If you love the other books you’ll enjoy this while you wait for the next one. It’s not amazing but it’s cool to build the world a bit more and see some more stories about the job of monster hunter. The characters aren’t as good as the ones we all love but they are good filler for the summer between seasons lol.

I didn’t know what I was getting into, and it was amazing.

I was bored and couldn’t find a book, I figured 3 books one credit. Ok! Little did I know I’d be calling in to work using PTO so I could listen to this for 12 straight hours. The concept of werewolves has been changed forever in my mind. And vampires and mythology all of it. What an awesome way to take myths we all love and know and turn them upside down. No sparkly vampires here! (Pun intended)

You won’t regret this buy. The story is fast and take no prisoners. Your characters go from love to hate to love to hate. The world we all know is changed and you’re afraid of the thought of living in it.

The reader does a great job of pace and voice. I’ll be listening to other stuff he reads because he’s so well done. Buy buy buy and let me know if you like twilight vamps and wolves anymore.... cause this ain’t your YA vampire and werewolves be friends book!

Top Notch High Fantasy.

So you know what I like I love the wheel of time series. Anything Brandon Sanderson writes. Anne mccaffrey (and her kids) Mercedes lackey dean koontz Stephen Kings tower series terry goodkind and more.

This is one of the most immersive worlds I’ve ever entered. The author gives you a world where they build swords but you never feel or think “oh like a knights sword, or or like a Japanese sword smith. No you never get pulled out of the world and countries created and their cultures with an errant thought of your real world familiarness.

The characters aren’t perfect super stars. They make real world mistakes and face real consequences. You love and you hate characters with equal fervor. You even hate that you need some occasionally and wonder at the writing skill needed to blur the lines. I know I’m rambling but I can’t contain the enthusiasm I have for this tail.

The reader is excellent. Changes his voice enough that you can tell which character you’re hearing and the story is unforgettable.

Only negative is the sequel will be a while. But this is worth 2-4 listens and you’ll wanna buy the e book as well. The author is pushing to get sequel done but he’s holding no bars about making it perfect! Best credit you’ll use all year. I promis.

Perfect final installment

The only bad part about this book is per the author it’s a final installment. There will be no more. The epilogue leaves you wishing for more while cleanly ending the story. These four books alone are just some of the most fun stories to read/listen too.

If you’re sad and haven’t read the spinoffs. Corpies is great too!
