Historia
For a long time, no one pulling the strings in the comedy world thought that a woman over fifty from rural Tennessee could make it in the industry. But Leanne Morgan has defied the odds, reaching millions with her musings on hormones, low-rise britches, Weight Watchers, and her opposites-attract relationship with her husband, Chuck. In her charming southern accent, Morgan brings listeners inside her quest to find her voice after spending many years trying to figure out what that meant.

This was a good book. Some of the riddles were a little complicated and I kind of lost track but I am glad I read it.

DSM V - ugh
Revisado: 04-02-22
I couldn’t figure out if the protagonist, Zoe was written to be fairly unintelligent or if the narrators voice made it sound like it. Her tone of voice often did not match the serious or even common dialogue. And what bothered me the most is the a resident in psychology or psychiatry would know that it is the DSM 5 not DSM V. I got annoyed every time.

Okay but too unbelievable.
Revisado: 01-22-21
This book was ok but I found myself saying “give me a break” a lot. The main character goes from one extreme not being able to leave the house to another going on the run and killing people without explanation of how she found the inner strength or the tactical knowledge to do the things she was doing. It would have made more sense if those things were explained.

This was a really nice story. It had just a little magic enough to be quirky but not so much that it was silly. Rebecca is the most amazing narrator. I’ll listen to anything she does!

Historia
Therese Wolley is a mother who has made a promise. She works as a secretary, shops for groceries on Saturdays, and takes care of her two girls. She doesn’t dwell on the fact that her girls are fatherless, mostly because her own father abandoned her before she was born and she has done just fine without him. Even though her older daughter regularly wakes with nightmares and her younger one whispers letters under her breath, she doesn't shift from her resolve that everything will be fine.
