Historia
Meet a genuine American folk hero cut from the homespun cloth of America's heartland: Sam Walton, who parlayed a single dime store in a hardscrabble cotton town into Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the world. The undisputed merchant king of the late 20th century, Sam never lost the common touch. Here, finally, inimitable words. Genuinely modest, but always sure of his ambitions and achievements. Sam shares his thinking in a candid, straight-from-the-shoulder style. In a story rich with anecdotes and the "rules of the road" of both Main Street and Wall Street, Sam Walton chronicles the inspiration, heart, and optimism that propelled him to lasso the American Dream.

Steve Martin, thanks for this fantastic audiobook!
Revisado: 12-12-18
Job well done (by the author, who is......also......the reader!) on so many levels. An awesome glimpse into a guy who followed his calling, changed courses along the way, and has truly awesome stories of his journey. It's not all light and funny either, it's a great mix of an unpolished person who smooths out along the way. Once you're done this audiobook, watch (or rewatch) Dirty Rotten Scoundrels ("Lady Fanny of Omaha!) and Bowfinger (watch for the insanely ridic clip on ponytail and the car phone in the restaurant, and the suit shopping scenes). Thanks Steve

Sooooo great. Spade crushed this in every way. I actually listened to it twice (back to back). He did a great job narrating and anyone like me (40 yr old male) is bound to appreciate and relate to his stories and perspective. Listen to it and appreciate things like "Little Don Henley" plus 1's and the weirdness of instagram celebs......and his take on the misleading name "Katelyn"
