This book was amazing! It covers an important time in American history. While I was reading this book I also had some very informative conversations with family about life experiences. It is amazing to see that some of the same debates are happening now. And the influenza parallels what we are dealing with in the pandemic!

I had a hard time getting into this book at first. It has a slow start but once the story gets going it is great! When I finished I went back and listened to the book a second time. If you have not read A Wrinkle in Time you may want to read that first!
