Excellent content, poor performance

I keep trying to listen to this book, but the reader is so distracting I can't do it. Unfortunately, I didn't start the book right away so I cannot return it since over 365 days since purchase have passed. Many authors do a fine job reading their books but not this one.

I have enjoyed the information and the writing, but I find the narration distracting. I sure wish the narrator would just read and not attempt various accents and voices. I started cringing every time she read Lady Bird's words.
