I liked how we watched Grey’s character develop relationally and with his arcanist knowledge. Exciting ending that leaves you wanting to find out what happens next.

A very enjoyable read!

Inevitable to compare this series to HP, but with notable differences. The character development is a bit more detailed. The conflict begins much sooner in the storyline. Overall, the reader is drawn in to the Arcanist world. Looking forward to the next book in this series!

This fourth book in the Frith chronicles is an enjoyable read as the story of Volke Savan continues. He’s the epitome of a heroic protagonist. The tension between the forces of good and evil is palpable throughout. Looking forward to listening to the Warlord Arcanist!

Shami Stovall’s second book in the Frith Chronicles is full of action and further character development of the main protagonists and villains. We learn of several types of mystical creatures and their unique abilities. The description of this fictional world is scattered throughout the fast paced story using picturesque prose, metaphors and similes. Several questions about the characters were answered, but others were left unanswered, which draws you in to reading the next book in the series. Well done!
