disappionting
Revisado: 01-28-23
Not so much a plot as a bunch of linked scenes where other people tell stories. Lots of (some very weird) fights because there are werewolves. It's not uninteresting, but part way through the book I was still wondering when the plot would kick in. It did not. But if you read it like a set of connected shorts, it's not too bad.

Historia
Lavan Chitward is a very unhappy young man; pulled away from his country home by his parents' ambitions and resettled in the big city of Haven, he is desperately lonely, bullied and beaten at school, ignored by his parents. It is not surprising that he falls ill - but his illness is the first manifestation of a terrible power, the Gift of the Firestorm, a power which can and does kill. If controlled, the Gift of the Firestorm can save Valdemar, but if it is uncontrolled, it will destroy the country - and him.

Historia
Trouble knows two things: They are a shapeshifter, and they are running from something - but they don't know what. So when the StarLeague shows up, Trouble figures it's time to flee. Changing from blob of goo form, to adorable puppy form, to human boy form, Trouble stows away on the Hindsight, a ship crewed by the best navigators and engineers in the galaxy, led by the fearsome Captain Astra. When a young StarLeague cadet shows up to capture Trouble, things get complicated, especially when Trouble reveals a shape-shifter form that none of them could have expected.

I wasn't sure at first about Trouble in the Stars, ended up spending the night listening to it rather than sleeping, really enjoyed it!
