Millions of people are suffering from chronic illnesses that, unbeknownst to them, are the result of exposure to environmental toxins and infectious agents such as mold and Borrelia, which causes Lyme disease. Millions. Because the symptoms of these illnesses are so varied and unusual, many of these individuals have sought medical care only to be dismissed, as if what they are experiencing is “in their head”. Many (if not most) have tried to tough it out and continue to function without hope of improvement. Unfortunately, their illnesses are very real.

Incredible resource

This book was incredibly detailed and easy to follow as an audiobook. I think if I tried to read this with a physical book that I would’ve felt overwhelmed with all the different chemical names. But the way it was presented as an audiobook made it easy to absorb the material, and let the science Tyson heavy parts just flow along. I am a health practitioner so I do have a lot of familiarity with the terms in the book and it might be harder for someone who isn’t a health provider to follow along with, but regardless, it was fantastically interesting And several parts blew my mind. I have recommended this book to so many people because regardless of whether or not you think you have a chronic illness, you may learn something that helps someone else. And it’s just interesting to learn about! I enjoyed the narrator, and I greatly enjoyed the way The book was written.
